Hollywood may live in the excess of millions of dollars but even in that rare pay scale world the female megastars get millions less than the men in a whopping gender issue in Hollywood. While some think the rich female stars shouldn’t complain we say fair is fair and all should be equal as they also bring in the big studio bucks and sometimes much more than their male counterparts. Listen to the differences in pay with regard to top ten female earners like Jennifer Lawrence, Melissa McCarthy, Scarlett Johansson versus top earners like Dwayne Johnson, Jackie Chan and Matt Damon and more. Oscar Isaac, Idris Elba, Ice Cube, Dakota Johnson, America Ferrera, Emma Watson, Vivica A. Fox, Tom Hiddleston, Eva Mendes, Michael B. Jordan, Rose Byrne and Brie Larson were all inducted into the new 683 strong class of artist given invites to become members of The Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences. Among the invites, 41% were people of color and 46% were female which will make for a much more interesting 2017 Oscars. It was a long time in coming but we applaud the Academy for their bold move that fully embraces everyone.
